Ovidio nel «Breviari d’amor» di Matfre Ermengaud. Sulla riscrittura dei «Remedia amoris»

Abstract

RIASSUNTO: L’articolo affronta la questione della ricezione di Ovidio nel Breviari d’amor, e in particolare indaga la riscrittura dei Remedia amoris inserita nella sezione conclusiva del «Perilhos tractat d’amor de donas», i
«Remedis per escantir folia d’amor», dove il testo latino è riletto alla luce della tradizione anti-erotica e misogina cristiana.

ABSTRACT: The paper explores the reception of Ovid in the Breviari d’amor, and in particular the reworking of the Remedia amoris included in the final section of «Perilhos tractat d’amor de donas», the «Remedis per escantir folia d’amor», where the Latin text is interpreted in the light of the antierotic and misogynist Christian tradition.
